What is Tres Leches Cake?
Tres leches means three milks in Spanish. A traditional tres leches cake is a vanilla sponge cake (no box cake mixes, please) which is soaked in a three milk mixture, the tres leches. It is then topped with either meringue or whipped topping, and garnished with cinnamon or cherries. Here at Tres Leches Cakery, we love the lightness of the whipped topping with a gentle sprinkling of cinnamon to really let the cake shine. It is perfectly sweet, yet not overpowering. We know you will fall in love at the first bite!
